Just managed to read/write the Typeface registry through the app
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\XenonSDK\XUI\Options\Typefaces_v1]

In the next release I'll add an option to modify the registry.

-Choose font
-change name to ConsoleFont
-write registry

optional
-add option to modify skin.xml
-add check when generating xur files if font folder exist else
copy font to xurfolder/font

Guess that will do it for the font issue. The change fonts option could be used to modify the font used per xui file. Although I dont know what good that will do having different fonts throughout the xui files, but who knows?

Added Uninstaller:

if anything is wrong you'll be prompted to correct them.

I like the changes. The auto font replace thing is cool but would suggest that after it creates the folder with the .xui files to convert them back to .xur files. Really the only file you need in .xui format is skin.xui so it can be set in xuitool. The other files can be opened in .xur format and then exported as .xur and never have to be .xui files.

Skin.xui can be set as default after extraction (controlbox register new skin.xui as default)

I thought having all xui files would be user-friendly as you can save the file directly with ctrl-S without beeing prompted to enter a filename and so on. But I think it would be possible to add a checkbox (only convert skin.xui).

I am still playing around with Skin.xml.



Is there a reason why a skinner should use more then 1 font?
At the moment only 1 font in skinfile is supported in this gui.
