It is tough work and I don't fully understand what everything does. It really is a matter of trial and error. Don't expect to do anything super cool on your first try, just do a few simple things such as moving 1 item and testing it out. You can test it through the program, don't remember exactly where it is, but you should be able to find it in the drop down. Just modify one thing at a time and test it.

RE: HELP ME FSD SKIN EDITING
OK I think I did it but whenever I load the skin on the Xbox it just goes to a black screen and does nothing. Its no good not working at all. Is there something I'm doing wrong ? Like maybe I'm not saving it correctly its got to be something stupid like that I swear. I edit the Tabs which there has to be a easier way for that to I'm sure. Anyways after I edit my Tabs I click File, Save, and it tells me it already exsits. then It asks me do You want to replace. So I click yes to overwrite it and that's it. Next I put it back in to a XZP file format by rebuilding the whole thing.
Finally I put on My console and of course I find I ve epidemically failed. Damn it! Big black screen again Please let me know if you see something wrong with my process.

What I would do is take the default theme (no changes) and transfer the un-zipped theme to your xbox to test it.... You can download one of the skinnable default themes to start with (HERE), that way its already un-zipped and renamed so it does not conflict with other theme names. Once its on your xbox, load that skin and make sure it works without any changes. Then go to your PC and open xuitool... check to make sure your skin.xui file is set under Tools -> Options and Defaults tab. If it is not set when xuitool loads, it will prolly ask you about it.... anyway once you have loaded one of the files such as main.xur and made a small change. Push f5 or go to File -> Preview to see a preview of the file and make sure it works as it should, you can press left and right to change tabs and up and down I believe. Go to File -> Export Binary and then find the file you are editing, save and overwrite. Once you are done with that, FTP that file over to your xbox and reload your skin to see if the changes show.

RE: HELP ME FSD SKIN EDITING
Thank you guys. You guys are awesome. Your help with this Deak is much appreciated. I figured it out. All I was doing wrong was I was forgetting the export binary. Because I didn't understand the full saving process. Now It Works Thank you everyone now I can move forward to Providing this awesome community with a dashboard from my thoughts.

This link Provided from Deak is what really helped me figure it out.
